I am trying to arrange a mortgage, my IVA commenced in 2011, and I finally received a Cert' of completion in April 2017. I have checked my call credit and Equifax credit files and the IVA does not appear on these, I am awaiting my Experian report, but my credit score with them is showing as 978/999 so I'm not expecting anything nasty.

I have had mixed information from specialists lenders from "no way! wait 5 more years" to "maybe next year, with 20% deposit"

Are there any lenders that are likely to accept me? I am looking for a lender that asks " Have you entered into a IVA in the last six years?" and not "did you complete an IVA in the last 6 years"

I would suggest a chat with Ryan and / or Shaun, both whole of market brokers with experience of adverse credit. "Specialist" lenders will charge a premium rate which, over time, will cost far more than a broker.

Contact details via their profiles:
