Would we be able to get a mortgage under the help to buy scheme? we had a previous Iva which was settled last year

I would advise you contact one of the mortgage experts on this page - either Ryan or Shaun. They have helped many people after and during IVA to gain mortgages.

Hi Alison,

It would depend on when the IVA began but we have certainly managed to obtain Help to Buy Mortgages previously for Clients following an IVA.

When did your IVA start? Credit record will be damaged for 6 years form the start of the IVA...

Hi Alison. The IVA certainly, in itself, doesn't exclude you from the Help-to-Buy scheme but the challenge will be to find a lender who will allow both. This will depend on your other circumstances and when the IVA was first registered.
