Chase up the new owners of that business, Cleardebt who ought to be able to assist you. Did you receive a final report from Synergi?

They said I would get a letter from the court after the cheque cleared and money distributed but could take awhile and I'd still be on the register till 1 month after the 6th year

You come off the Insolvency Register within a few months of completing your IVA regardless of whether you finish early or pay for the full five years.

It certainly doesn't take four years to pay everyone. I take it the cheque was cashed?

As far as I am aware, the letter comes from your IP, not the court.

Give Cleardebt a ring to clear this up.
