I am considering taking out an IVA. My wife is from Korea and we are required to apply for the second part of the 5 year visa application process in December when the first 2.5 year visa expires. She does not want to obtain citizenship. Does anyone know for certain if setting up an IVA will affect her visa application? I would prefer non-speculative answers on this, and citations / references where possible.

For a non-speculative answer you would be best served checking direct with Home Office / Immigration.
We have offered opinions on this subject many times in the past, but no-one has ever come back with their actual experience --- maybe one will do so now.
Good luck.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

Thank you - I've called several times, but I am unable to get through to anybody who seems to understand what the situation is.
