I've got a couple of weeks of gambling on my bank statement. Will this affect my chance of getting an iva. I've blocked myself off all sites I've even screen shot them to prove I've banded myself of the sites

You have taken remedial action and this should help to show you mean it however they want to see six months of no gambling before they agree to continue the process. No harm in testing the water now but there is a chance you will be asked to wait.

Companies do vary in the number of "clean" months statements required - from 1 month upwards. Worth checking with a few different IVA companies.

Some companies want three, some six. It will also depend on the amounts involved and frequency. There is no reason why you should not at least start the ball rolling and chat to a few companies. You can use the time to start getting everything together and set up in readiness.

By the time you take advice and (potentially) get the IVA ball rolling and proposals prepared you will probably find a month has passed anyway.

It depends on the circumstances and figures involved as to what creditors will be happy with.

Creditors of one of my recent IVAs were happy to accept 3 months.
