Unfortunately some banks are against iva's and I know from my experience HSBC and First Direct bank did exactly this to us to however they did give us 30 days to move our account to another bank.

Your husbands credit report will show you linked by association and therefore he may find gaining credit a little difficult whilst your iva remains on your record.

If this is not one of the historically anti-IVA banks they could have done it in error and are proceeding as if your IVA is a bankruptcy --- I have seen it done ! If that is the case they should unfreeze the account when the error is pointed out.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
