Hi All

Just wanted to check I am doing everything correct!

Been kicked out of home by parents today - bad news :-(
A friend has offered to rent me a room - good news :-)

Only problem is its £50 more a month than I pay at the moment.

I have spoken to my IP and filled in a new expenditure form. Stating the £50 rent increase and another £20 added to shopping/toiletries as not living at home will increase my food/household products costs.

I have also asked them if they could give me a payment break for a month to enable me to rent a van to move etc.

I originally agreed to pay back 33p in the pound and at the last review had paid back 40 something pence.

Have I done everything correctly? Do you think they will reduce my payments and give me the payment break?

Just need some reassurance, been a mad day and so close to the end of this IVA now. Worried about the extra financial pressure, but dont have a choice in the matter.

Jess

Hi there not good for you but you have a good friend by the sound of it and you've done exactly what I would have done and kept your IP updated as soon as.

They have the power I think to reduce your payment by 15% and you make this amount up at the end I do believe?

How long you got to go in your IVA? x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

thanks Lesley

Got 8 months left to go, which includes an extra payment at the end when I had a one month payment break to enable me to get money for my work expenses. So I may already of had my 15%. Guess I will just have to wait and see.

Thinking I must have some wiggle room as otherwise they would have told me straight out and not sent me the forms???

Who knows. Just get stressed not knowing. Looks like I will be living on rice for the next 8 months

Jessica I think it means they can reduce your monthly payment down by 15% to accomodate, you're almost there now...won't be long and then you can celebrate x

I know. I can't wait to make that final payment. It will be such a weight off my shoulders and will be able to get on with the rest of my life (debt free of course)

I am sure this won't be a problem, given that you are so close to finalising the IVA, and if needs to be extended slightly to cover lower payments now then that ought to be easily organised.

any ideas how long I should give the IP to come back to me. I spoke to them on Thursday, they emailed me the I&E forms, which I completed, scanned and emailed back straight away...
I'm impatient because I cant relax until I know whether or not they will agree as I cant plan anything and I have less than two weeks until moving day. I don't want to harrass them!

I would have thought they could deal with this for you within the next couple of weeks.
