Hello everybody. Our joint IVA's were approved on the 26t March.
Since this time we are receiving constant letter's as if the IVA never existed. Our IP firm are dealing with them as they arrive. However, we do we keep receiving them. Is it just a lapse in there systems or are they just trying it on. Anyone else had experience of this. Thanks MARK.
Keep smiling. It could be worse.

Don't worry about them, the firms can do nothing and it most likely is a lack of communication between head office and the call centres.

They will stop eventually and you are doing the right thing by letting your IP deal with this.

Keep smiling. It could be worse.

There are several posters who have had these letters in the past. I fortunately didn't suffer this but can understand how annoying it is.

I'd write to them informing them of the IVA and tell them to check on the Insolvency Register. I'd also just remind them that they are now harrassing you and you will be taking it further if they don't stop.

It does take time for all departments to be notified and I would think that it must certainly be almost time for yours to be updated. Hopefully they'll stop soon.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Our IVA was finalised Jan 28th this year and just got our "final" letters off MBNA last week. Thought it was going to be the usual letter saying how much we owed them!!!!!!!

But most of our creditors were straight away stopping letters, just MBNA been pain in the bums!!!! LOL
Life is a struggle.......but its all worth it in the end!!!!

Don't worry about it, for a short period the letters will continue but you may get 3 or more letters from experience

1. You owe us money payup or we take you to court. Since you are now safely in an IVA, ignore and pass onto IP.

2. You debt has been sold.

3. You debt has been purchased by us, you will never hear from us again though we may send you yearly statements until your IVA is completed.

In all 3 circumstances you can sit back relax in the knowledge that all is ok and this is just the financial instituitions in some instances following legal requirements.

Still get the odd letter but these are now what the creditors have to send because of the Consumer Credit Act.
7 year IVA completed in December 2016 - there is light at the end of that tunnel

Hi Mark, just to re - confirm what everyone on here has said, they will stop. Have just been in my IVA for 5 weeks tomorrow (not that I am counting!), all went quiet for a week or so and letter after letter arrived along with the phone calls (most of them automated so you could not even call them back), I have spoken to 3 of my creditors and they were quite happy with the information as well as being understanding on the situation, the letters I would just forward onto you IP, they are just the normal automated responses as well, your IVA has been accepted and you are legally protected. It is stressful I know (been there and still am there to a certain extent) but unfortunately in these cases it takes time for the information to filter through, but it will.
All the best.
