Hi so I’ve had a letter saying that we are aware you have been subject to an individual Voluntary agreement with credit fix the financial claims office are getting in touch in order to investigate review of your previous creditors or account providers affording you the opportunity to ensure any potential compensation has been recovered from the appropriate lenders within your lva as well as any previously cleared credit as far back as 1980s please note this includes accounts that may have already been investigated by credit fix and then half way down it says you should also know that all checks are completed outside of the scope of your agreement with your IP as we are a third-party claims management company they say please contact us on in order for us to conduct the necessary checks accordingly following which we will discuss the next step to making any claims Identified.... what does this letter mean? Do I need to contact credit fix or do anything. Or just leave it.

I would not contact this company at all - they are just out to make money and you may end up much worse off than you are. I would contact CF and tell them about it. This company has got your details from the Insolvency Register.

Think this company is doing the rounds......I’ve had the same, but stating Payplan, whom I’m with. I would also suggest that you don’t engage with them and put it straight in the bin.

These are likely to be 'ambulance chasers', like the old PPI claims companies. Not even sure that there is a legal basis for such claims as yet.

Hi,
I had the same letter this week. I contacted my IVA company and sent my case handler a scanned copy of the letter and they told me to ignore the letter.

It’s now safely shredded and in the bin :D

Thanks
Mark

They appear to be a trading name of this company https://drummondsltd.co.uk/.

They have temporary permission to act as a claims management company https://register.fca.org.uk/ShPo_FirmDe ... 04RJtEqQAL.

Employee reviews (if the right company that I have found) suggests that it is not a pleasant experience.
IVA started March 2011, Completed March 2016 and certificate issued 11 days after final payment. It was not always easy but then some of the best decisions aren't.

Not sure if it is as the addresses are totally different - one is Manchester and the other is London but they are both out to make money.

Hello LNE --- long time no see. I hope you are keeping well !

If the basis for this new rash of claims, post PPI, pans out --- like PPI, I imagine debtors will be able to handle them themselves, rather than line a sharks pockets. Then will follow the thorny question as to whether the IVA trust still has a claim on the money and the controversy over the 'miscreant' claiming a portion of the spoils ( again, like PPI).

Hi Foggy - never been away.

Forgot the password to RedBoxTree and LNE got reactivated by mistake.

Re. Financial Claims Office my advice would be let sleeping dogs lie.

Once you move on from an IVA, do nothing linked to previous financial relationships or expect to gain from PPI or equivalent.

The more you do that, the more likely you end up having to deal with your old IP.

PS - loved the post you did about CF and the court case that involved them. The judge really did pull them apart.
