We completed our IVA two years ago and got all the PPI paid into it at the time. It completed on a full and final settlement. We have just got a letter about financial mis selling of pay day loans, investments, pensions etc. We have not been mis sold any of the products they mention and have already sorted the PPI. My question is can I tell them to leave us alone because we have told them everything that we had that could have been mis sold and we just want to move on with our lives and forget about it. It was actually quite distressing to hear from them again and they seem to assume our Iva is still active based on the wording
PPI and the like (including those they mention) are still due to the IVA, even after closure, as recently confirmed in the courts. so, on the face of it, you do need to comply. What they might do if you do not comply has yet to be revealed as no-one has, so far, got that far in the arguement. However, at the end of the day, it is far less stressful to simply let them get on with it and forget it.

Maybe, yes --- but it has been shown that the banks have still finally conceeded and paid out, even after refusing, or under refunding, the first, and sometime second, claims on the same accounts. The idea of reclaiming was put forward by the ombudsman some time ago and there is now a final panic (at least in respect of PPI) as the claims deadline looms.

With the deadline looming for PPI claims are they on a bit of a panic and now looking for other sources of unclaimed assets from
these other sources?
Like foggy said just let them do the leg work and if youre right (i would be the same as dont have any of those product which would have been missold) they will find nothing despite best efforts and work. You sign a form and carry on with life after iva.
