Hi, I recently completed 1 year of IVA by paying £150/month n annual review is due. My salary in the last year is less than previous year.
Couple of months ago I was diagnosed with heart problem and I m seeing cardiologist. As my family doesn’t live here so nobody is here For me to look after so I m not sure if I will live in uk or not .
Because of health issues I can’t work like I used to be before. A friend offered to pay lump sum £5000 as final n early settlement, remaining amount is 7200. What do you see chances of acceptance?

Sorry to hear of your health issues.

As your circumstances have changed you would be best seeking a full review if your case.

If you are no longer able to work, an offer of £5000 maybe be seen positively by creditors as to alternative of nothing, and they would receive money 4 years earlier than anticipated.

I would put it forward with evidence to support your health condition and inability to work.

Let us know how you get on.

I would echo Luluj's thoughts -- in the circumstances £5,000 might well be accepted to end the IVA early and that would be one less thing for you to have to worry about.

Thank you for reply.
I was referred to cardiologist by GP after all required tests , cardiologist issued me hospital number in addition to my NHS number. I will undergo some more scanning. As the problem can only be treated with surgery on due time so I m not taking any medication for time being. What documents I can produce to my IP as a proof? Can I send cardiologist appointment letters ? I can also authorise them to directly contact my GP

Give your IP the facts and let them ask for whatever they require.
