i am currently on maternity leave and have been looking at my options an iva seems to be my best course of action but i am confuse as i will be on statutory mat for at least 6 months could i apply for a iva on this as my wage then ask to re go over finances when i return to work just would like to get sorted asap so things dont keep building up
It's reasonable that creditors will accept an IVA on the basis of several months low payment and then an increase, but it's quite unlikely that your IP will propose an IVA unless you are relatively certain of your income for the next five years.
If you have a large amount of unsecured debt, then contact a few companies and see what personal advice they give you. You can get the names and contact details of a few from www.iva.com
I hope everything has gone ok. Have you had the baby yet?
I do think that you should have a word with an expert. As well as iva.com, the experts who post on here come highly recommended and their details can be found under the expert links under the left hand side of the page.

The greatness of a man is not in how much wealth he acquires, but in his integrity and his ability to affect those around him positively.
