Are you returning to work full-time?

It's reasonable that creditors will accept an IVA on the basis of several months low payment and then an increase, but it's quite unlikely that your IP will propose an IVA unless you are relatively certain of your income for the next five years.

If you have a large amount of unsecured debt, then contact a few companies and see what personal advice they give you. You can get the names and contact details of a few from www.iva.com

Keep in touch and welcome to the forums. :)
Take care,

Welcome to the forum.

I hope everything has gone ok. Have you had the baby yet?

I do think that you should have a word with an expert. As well as iva.com, the experts who post on here come highly recommended and their details can be found under the expert links under the left hand side of the page.

I've recently successfully presented an IVA for a lady where no payments were paid into the IVA for the first four months until she returned to work after the end of her maternity leave.

I think that what you are suggesting is perfectly reasonable.
