I have had to give my Iva my ppi award which I understand but if those companies hadn’t overcharged me in the first place then maybe I wouldn’t have needed an Iva to pay them back?????

We all have the "what ifs" and "maybes", but it is a waste of energy to dwell on them. We are where we are and we need to concentrate on recovery.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

Who knows? How much debt were you in and how much was your PPI?
