Hi guys my iva was approved a couple of weeks ago and I just got a letter from mercers debt collectors (barclaycard) dated the 1st of july saying if I dont pay them within 48hrs someone may call at my home im guessing they wont because its been more than 48hrs but im starting to panic now anyone else had this
Don't panic at all. You are protected by your IVA and they can do nothing.
It is probably just a case that the information has got through to Mercers yet.
Speak to your IP if you are at all concerned.
Even if they did turn up (unikely) just show them your chairmans report and they will go away.

These types of letters are generally computer-issued, are not followed up, and simply relate to a delay in Mercers updating their records (or Barclaycard failing to update Mercers).
As Jan says there is nothing that they can do anyhow.
