we entered into a iva with accuma in 2006
we were told we should of never entered into a iva as we didn't have anything to secure
we were declared bankrupt by 2008
my question is were we miss sold a iva and if so what should we do about it and how do I go about it
we paid a lot of money into it

Mis-selling is hard to prove after the fact as there are so many varying circumstances to look at. The reason you have been quotes doesn't make sense as an IVA is secured on nothing ,,, you need not have any assets to enter an IVA. However, most do so to protect assets, but it is not a reason not to.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

Who told you that you shouldn't have had a IVA? You don't need to have any assets.
