So, I finished my IVA two months ago and received my certificate of completion and final report last week. Upon looking at the final report I noticed that some inheritance I was due hadn't been paid into the IVA, worried the money had gone missing I phoned the solicitor dealing with the estate, and was told they still held the funds. The solicitor told me they hadn't realised the funds to the IP, because the completion of the paperwork sent in wasn't satisfactory. The solicitor tells me they have been trying to contact the IP since March to correct the paperwork.
Now that the IVA is finished and I have the certificate of completion, do the debt management company still have a legal claim to the money?

Unfortunately, yes it is still due to the IVA / Creditors, as the inheritance arose during the course of the arrangement, unless the IP specifically declares no interest in the money.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014
