I completed my iva early last July and the 6th year will be this Nov. I know that my iva will be removed from my credit file then but the missed payments as part of that IVA remained on my record until as late as July 2020. My question is will these also be removed after the 6 year point along with my IVA or will they continue to affect my credit rating?

They will disappear as long as the relevant account has been correctly defaulted. Have a read here: https://www.iva.co.uk/what-does-an-iva- ... dit-record

In a nutshell, the account should be defaulted with a default date on or before the start date of the IVA, The whole thing will then disappear, late payment reports as well, on the 6th anniversary of the default date.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014
