Hi,

I receive money every month off my father to put towards a help to buy isa. With this being given to me as a gift, is this allowed during an IVA?

Cheers in advance

A regular gift could well be looked at as an income and the ISA might be regarded as an asset. Have you mentioned the ISA to your IP ? What sort of sums are we talking about ? If modest it would be better that you made the deposits from savings on housekeeping and dad slipped you a bit of cash ---- but being able to save regularly might alert the creditors that your allowances are too high.

I agree with foggy - get dad to help in other ways. Paying into an ISA could be deemed income.
