Just wanting to know if its normal for a mortgage company to charge for a mortgage statement? Ive just phoned to ask for one to be sent to me and they said it would cost £15! Have left it for now until I asked on here! The mortgage redemption statement is free, but the mortgage statement isn't[:(]
Did you all have to pay for a mortgage statement?

Oh I don't know really, don't think I've ever asked for one, they send me one per year and I just file it. Maybe someone who does know will be along very soon. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

You should not need a mortgage statement if the company is going to charge. A redemption statement should suffice and proof of payments would be on your bank statements. Ask your IP before you pay out £15.

We need a mortgage redemption statement and something confirming your current mortgage terms - ie interest rate, type of mortgage etc. Don't pay for anything until I see what the mortgage redemption statement will reveal.

Ok Melanie, thank you. I intend to conquer 'mount paperwork' at the weekend to see if I can find the one they sent me last year. Failing that I will forward you the (free) redepmption statement for you to check then we can go from there[:D]
