Would I be able to get a mortgage on a shared ownership property whilst I’m still in an Iva?, I have seen a house I can afford each month aswell as paying my Iva off !, my Iva should end next year but I saw a property yesterday and really like it just need advice if I could get a mortgage on it

I really doubt it. The lenders wouldn't be too keen, nor would your IP.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

I agree with Foggy - hang on until the end of your IVA.

As others have said it will be doubtful.

I would suggest a conversation with Ryan from Zebra and or Shaun our forum mortgage experts who have helped hundreds of members with differing circumstances gain mortgages.

Their contact details can be found in ask the expert section via this link

Hi susie451
Unfortunately there are no lenders who will offer a Shared Ownership mortgage whilst the IVA is still showing on your credit file. Once it is over 6yrs and off the credit file, i am sure this could be sorted for you. Happy to help in future if you would like to get in touch directly.
