My husband is in IVA, can he sign secured loan papers of my property?

my husband is in iva. He finish in September this year. He as his own property and I have a property. I am trying to get a secured loan on my property but the agent told me that my husband also has to sign and involved in the loan, i am asking if he sign is be breaking his contract with the iva? If they asked him to remortgae his house after September will he have problem? because he signed for me. soory the question is long

If he co-signs your loan he will be in breach of his IVA and it will fail. This is because he will be taking on responsibility for the payments. In any case he will fail a credit check.

Aside of the concerns that Foggy has noted, it's unlikely that your lender will agree to the loan if he is included due to his IVA.
