Where to start?

Well the people who run my office building have been looking at cutting costs so I offered up the sacrificial lamb of getting rid of weekends as no one comes into the building.

Now though the Senior Director asked me the other day when she was here what time I start and when I said 7 she asked if anyone came in that early. I told her most maintenance staff and the window cleaners get here from 7.30am.

She started going on about well they can just come in at 9am, so I expect in the next month to hear they are cutting the hours here to a 9-5. This means 20 hours a week less which means a 33% paycut.

The Senior Director is so dumb she did not even think about the impact on me, the guy who through 6 different managers for this place in 20 months has held it together as none of their own staff have ever been bothered to do the job, teach me to be helpful. Does anyone do loyalty anymore?

Then there is my own boss for my Security firm who was supposed to come see me about getting me moved on Wednesday, she did not show up or call me.[:(!]

The problem is that even if I move my boss keeps offering me jobs with lower pay rates or less hours and I can't take them and she just doesn't seem to understand my situation. This despite the fact I explained it so a Beano reader could understand [:p]

Oh well, I got a job lined up with my Brother on a site next to here. My firm just lost the contract and they all going through tupe to that firm.

It's a good firm and the site has massive career potential as they start building work at the end of this year. The guy in charge of the development of 16 massive buildings in the centre of Leeds wants me to come work for them, so just have to wait for the job to be created and I'm gone baby......hopefully to a place where I'm appreciated.

Hi You asked "Does anyone do loyalty anymore", The guy my husband works for has been known to tell his staff that "He can buy loyalty"and I must say that most of his staff have been bought!Hubby has been with the firm for 35 years and has never taken any c**p from his boss who I must say is very good to him and does listen to his advice when asked.

Problem with this firm is the pay, or lack of it.We are lucky to have a tied cottage as if we didnt we couldnt afford the rents in this area.My sister always comments that it costs about £35 more a week to live here(in the south) than where she lives(the midlands).

Yeah the prices are a joke I do not know how people survive on minimum wage in the South, even with slightly higher wages due to it being so expensive down south.
