I really hope they will accept it - I think CF are going from bad to worse.

Just got this email
What does it mean, should I be worried etc
Good afternoon Miss Lauron Kay,

Hope you are doing well.

My name is Mevin and I am looking after your Insolvency Arrangement (IVA) at CreditFix. I wish to inform you that we have received a high Claim from your creditor, Amigo Loans, after the IVA was approved.

We wish to inform you that as per the Terms and Conditions, we need to call a meeting of creditors, to be able to include the claim into the IVA.

We wish to inform you that the above will not affect your monthly contributions.

We need your consent to schedule the meeting as well as to any extension which may apply, i.e., the IVA may be extended to a maximum period of 6 to 12 months depending on the expected dividend which creditors wish to have.

Kindly advise if we can proceed with the meeting of your creditors, where the relevant team will provide you with more details regarding the monthly extension that will be applied to redeem the breach towards the arrangement.

Should you require any additional information, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Warm regards

It would seem that you owe Amigo more than you told CF at the start and this will affect the amount other creditors will get. So CF need to hold a meeting of creditors to see if they agree to Amigo getting more. To make them more likely to agree CF will suggest that the IVA is made longer ( 6 or 12 extra payments) so the creditors get some more back from you.

Where did you get the figure that you owed Amigo ? I would ask CF what the new claim is to see if I agreed that I owed it !

I don’t understand this, I thought CF got the amount I owed but why now I’ve been in my Iva for nearly 2 years why are they making a claim now. And amigo was the only one who declined my Iva. I need to message them back with Consent to agree, should I do be worried could my Iva fail? Do I just agree to it or ask why?

So good news I was approved for the moped loan scheme and I spoke to wheels to work they said I don’t have to sign up to the credit union so yay!! Anyway so I’m waiting for an application from to fill in but I need my provisional license etc but that’s been delayed due to them sending me a medical letter to fill in which I’ve done and now being sent off so now waiting for my provisional license to come, no idea when tho :( So the payments for the loan won’t get taken for month or so, all cos of Covid I have to have a cbt which is currently closed due to Covid.. all I’m saying is cos I got approved today will it be okay if my payments don’t start for a while etc if that makes sense

Great news ! It should be OK for payments to be delayed in the current pandemic --- I am sure everyone will understand the delays being caused everywhere. Just keep everyone in the loop.

CF are notorious for bad communication. I would drop them an update anyway --- at least then any problem is of their making, not yours.

Just tell them how things stand. You can do no more as you have done everything by the book.

Ask for an answer asap.
