Yes, the anxiety is normal and you will probably run through all of the emotions for a few weeks. First Direct do tend to close accounts when the account holder goes into an IVA --- have you got a new account up and running yet ?
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

We were with first direct and had our account closed. Suggest you open a couple of basic bank accounts that allow direct debits and that way you will have options to use one as a saving account if you are so lucky to have to any of your allowances left each month.

Make sure you get all direct debits swapped across and your salary at the right time of the month for you though.

Good luck next week - will be keeping my fingers crossed and look forward to hearing your result
