Hi... We've just had our last annual review and can't believe we've only got one year to go! It's been a struggle at times but it's made us look at our spending habits and definitely changed the way we look at money!
Just wondering if there is anything we can do in our last year to prepare for our IVA coming to an end and ways we can start to improve our credit rating?
While the IVA sits on the records there is little you can do to change your ratings as yet, but you can get copies of credit files -- statutory reports, which you can order via the CRA websites -- from each agency and check for errors, especially default dates. If any are wrong and the creditor refuses to cooperate, going to the Ombudsman can take quite a while! Have a read here for background: https://www.iva.co.uk/what-does-an-iva- ... dit-record
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014
Well done on getting this far - the next year will hopefully fly by!
