I was just too upset to post anymore when my cat went missing, I know there were some quite harsh comments, (I felt), that I took to heart, in the vein of “its only a cat, and family matters more”, etc but I was absolutely devastated when he went missing, especially after the traumatic year we had had, and to happen on Boxing Day too! I really do think of him as “my baby”
We looked everywhere for him, it was awful. I am pleased to say a lady rang up and she had seen him hiding under the decking in her garden nearly 3 WEEKS later! He was so ill. He had lost a third of his body weight, had a temperature and early liver failure through starvation. Luckily he pulled through, the vet said any longer and he would have died. I was just so relieved to get him back, I thought I would never see him again and those weeks were really dark times for me. Stupid, I know! Anyway, that little adventure cost me £300 in vets fees. Oops! Luckily we got some back from Petplan.
