Hi

We have been informed we need to list our dependants as over 14 & that our payments might rise.

We argue that over 14 they need more money not less, they eat more, their clothes cost more, they need money for travel.

Does anyone know if this is common practice?

We have just had a massive raise because the car was through work so the tax was more, now we have borrowed money from a relative as he lost the work car but the wage went up, the extra tax he now has they've taken pretty much all of it.

I hate how stupid we were with debt :(

I have not heard of this distinction before --- they are still children at 14 and, yes, they will cost more -- secondary school is far more expensive !
