Hi all,

I’ve been in an IVA for about 15 months now and it’s all going great no issues. My partner has applied for an IVA. Does this have any implications to mine or will they just run separately etc. We have no joint debts etc

They will run separately. Are you going with the same IP ?

Agree with Foggy - it will have no implication on your IVA.

Another IP has been recommended to her but would it be easier if they were at the same place?

Makes little difference really, as long as none of her earnings were taken as part of your disposable income.

When I did my review her monthly salary was taken into account as we live together

Partners salary is always asked for simply to work out each persons fair share of household expenses, but not to contribute to the IVA payment .... however a few firms work out the payment based on household income, which effectively means the solvent partner is paying some of the insolvents IVA.

Might I ask who you are with and who has been recommended for your partner ?
