Dont you just love the feeling of payday? And its even better knowing the days running up to it that all the bills are paid and your not in the overdrawn category albeit maybe abit skint. Its a great feeling and each day brings you that step closer to being debt free. Heres to 2015!!!!!

I totally agree, I have the best budget spreadsheet ever now and only wish I'd started this ten years ago and I wouldn't be where I am now financially. x

I love the fact that I'm not in the red as well. I'm glad it's payday next week as we're a bit skint at the moment!

Unfortunately I used to do all the bugdeting (not very well obviously!) and although I didn't use a spreadsheet, and still don't, I knew what there was there (or wasn't).

I very much doubt if things would have happened differently. We were always able to borrow more, and I do remember a phone call to Direct Line for a top up loan where I basically begged for the money when he told me I couldn't have any! They did let me in the end.
As long as I could change my car often and go on exotic holidays then I was happy.

This brought me up short and I have no intentions of ever getting into this mess again.

It's a learning curve for us all I think Jan.

Hubby got called out last night to his Mum's to fix her conservatory door. Whilst there she was actually very sane, she asked when the last time we had a holiday was and he said oh 3 years ago and she has offered to pay for us to go, which is very nice and I'll be contacting Melanie just to check that if she funds it as we'll choose all inclusive to make sure I'm not jeopardising my IVA. Now today may be a different day for her and she may want to prosecute me, so we're off to get a quote quick! x

We havent had any sort of holiday for 8 years, when we went to florida for the 2nd time in 2 years(all paid for by plastic!!!).

We are going back there after our trust deed is finished before our son is too big to want to go away with mum and dad!!!
Discharged today the 8th feb 2012. View is much brighter now.
Continuing to rebuild our credit worthiness.

That's a lovely offer Lesley, and I really don't see what the problem would be. Other people on here have had holidays whilst in an IVA.

Go and enjoy!

We keep talking about Florida, but I don't know if it'll happen - we're both scared of flying for a start! I did suggest that we ask for holiday vouchers if we get married and go there for our honeymoon!

If MIL is paying for it there won't be a problem. We went last year and daughter paid for us.

Other than America, I would always choose fully incusive.

If I can find a suitable holiday as I've no idea what budget I'm working with, it was just get me the details and I'll write the cheque type of conversation, I will and will do it sooner rather than later as we all know her moods aren't controlled by her. x

We are managing a holiday this year - a sun holiday to brean. We leaqve next monday and my 2 stepchildren are very excited. Especially as we have found out that another family from our church are going to be there at the same time.

I also love knowing that payday our wages arent paying off the humungous overdraft.
Its now time to start living and to make some some wonderful memories!
