Hi,

I have just started an IVA, 3 weeks ago. I pay weekly, and have paid a few weeks already. I have just noticed that bamboo and lendable have still taken payment off me this month? Is this normal and should they still be doing this? Or is this a one month thing as I have just started?

Thanks

No, they should not be doing this if they are included in your IVA. Can you cancel any DD or SO that should be in there?

You need to speak to your IP about this as all creditors should not be taking money from you.

They are in breach of the agreement. It could be as simple as an overlap ( left hand / right hand thing), but needs to be sorted by your IP, otherwise the IVA will be unaffordable.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

Definitely make a point of double checking that all your direct debits are cancelled.

Also, be cautious if you've moved to a basic bank account using the account switch service, as it may have inadvertently carried across your direct debits to your creditors.

Contact your IP and explain the situation, and to try sort out refunds with the creditors.
Hi! I used to work for one of the UK's biggest Insolvency Practitioners - I don't work for an IP anymore but still have an extensive knowledge of the IVA industry. How can I help?
