As my 6th year has passed, all my Defaults have dropped off apart from this which has appeared with the incorrect date.

I have asked them (by email) they aknowledged it and asked for further details and then have gone quiet, and experian to amend it a couple of weeks ago, but not heard anything back as yet.

Do you think it is worth being persistent or just waiting for 4 months for it to drop off naturally. Everything else dropped off in June.

I have threatened both with a complaint to the ICO, as the data shows it was clearly wrong as Perch bought the debt, but it was part of the IVA.

Not the end of the world, but was hoping to get Car Finance to replace the 12 year old car I had struggled through my IVA with at a reasonable rate. Not looking to spend a fortune, but I have been able to put money into savings now I am not putting into the IVA.

Send them a copy of your completion letter and tell them to remove the default otherwise you will make a complaint.

Hi Kallis, thanks for replyong.

I have done this but not had a reply as yet, my previous threats of complaining seemed to do nothing other than get them to say it is not theirs anymore. Experian have had a reply with them implying I should deal with them directly, but they don't seem to be a proper outfit. When they say it isn't with them anymore they are still reporting the data, but they are likely meaning since it was paid off they had closed it. Was only £200 and was settled within the IVA even before I got my completion certificate, but either way is causing an inconvenience now.

Would my complaint just be with the ICO or as this was part of the IVA, does it come under other areas if I need to? I have already threatened about the ICO.

Under data protection guidelines, how do the CRA's get away with holding incorrect data, when they are aware of it.
