Sorry for dramatic title but am panicking and not too sure what to do. I am in the process of returning paperwork to StepChange and have just had a positive pregnancy test, but very, very early days. This would be our second child. I suppose I should be straight on the phone to StepChange but just wanted to ask for any advice here first as my head is all over the place with so many different thoughts and emotions x

You do need to advise Stepchange ... most firms will actually do little until baby arrives, but at least they can lay groundwork. Sometimes they can make extra allowance for payment breaks or reduced payments while on maternity pay and build them into the agreement.

My thoughts are that it's always best to tell / warn the IP about everything, whether they want to know or not, then there are no surprises for either of you! I am sure my IP was sick of me, but he knew who I was !!!
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
