Hi there. Please can I have some advise. I am looking for a mortgage and have had conflicting information from 2 different brokers and I am confused. One had advised that 10-15% deposit would be ok and another has said it must be 20%. I am not getting communication back from the one that said 10%. On May 27th we are 3 years out of our IVA. Our IVA started in August 2014 and ended on 27/5/16. We were able to complete early through a variation agreement with our creditors. Can anyone recommend somebody who we can trust with our mortgage and what we should be expecting by way of deposits and the fees brokers charge. Any advise will be much appreciated. Thanks.

Bear in mind your credit record will still be shot until next year. However, speak to our two resident mortgage experts Shaun and Ryan. Details can be found under the IVA experts link.

Hi there. I am messaging following recommendations on the IVA forum! I hope you can help. We are looking for a mortgage post IVA. On 27.5.19 ( tomorrow) we are 3 years out of IVA. We took IVA in Aug 2014. We are desperate to get a mortgage and have a property to buy. We were liaising over the last year with 'name removed at OP's request'and he advised there would be a lender that would accept a 10% deposit but Joe is not answering emails now. Another broker has said a 20% deposit is required! We weren't geared up for that! Please can you help. Many thanks for your time. Carol

Many Mortgage Advisers just don’t have the expertise in this very specialist field which might explain why you aren’t getting a decent steer and you may not be getting the advice you need. What is available really will depend on your own specific circumstances (lender’s take into account many other factors) but it shouldn’t be too difficult to give you a fairly firm indication as to what can be achieved.
Specialist Mortgage Advisers. Highly Commended at the British Mortgage Awards.

For individual, confidential mortgage advice see my details under the IVA Experts or go to http://clients.theselectpartnership.co.uk/

Hi Carol,
I understand you've spoken with Joe now and you're aware of the deposits required.
I believe hes waiting on the credit reports at which point he can proceed with your enquiry.

Thanks,
Ryan

Hi Ryan

Joe has been great and we are in communication. I've sent the reports over and Joe is having a look at everything for me.

Many thanks. Carol
