I was in an Iva 10 years ago completed 5 years ago but I have just been told I have a ppi claim going back 22 years can I claim this or does this go straight back to the bank as I have stupidly thrown all my paperwork out

It likely belongs to your IVA estate (unless the debts, interest and costs were paid off in full).
That doesn't mean your ex IP will necessarily want to reopen the file to deal with the PPI. It will depend on the figures.
Sometimes the Bank will offset the refund, although strictly speaking they shouldn't.
Either way there's a chance you won't get to see any of the money.
You may also have to pay the costs of any agent you instruct to recover the compensation, even if the funds don't go to you.
