Hi Ian

Can you please help if possible - our IVA started in 2010 and closed final in 2015
we had loans in the 1990's which were not included in the IVA as these were paid off loans - we have £6.600 in PPI that we can claim but now we have received a letter from the Yorkshire bank saying that this has to be paid to the IVA even though it was closed in 2015 we had to sell our house and they took the £18.495.00 from the plus we p[aid for 3 years of £233.00 per month.

Hope you can help many thanks Carole

Which 'Ian' are you addressing the query to ?

PPI from loans pre-dating the IVA are still payable into the IVA. However, some IP's do allow these refunds to be kept by issuing a Notice of Non-interest to the refunder. You would need to approach your former IP for their views. DFD cases were taken on by Aperture in 2017. What happens with old cases I do not know, but, if they took over the ongoing care of these cases they are likely to want the refunds paid to them.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014
