A few years ago i was sat chatting with my friend and she confessed to debt and how she struggled. I opened up and confessed also to debt. Me and my husband earn’t reasonable money and shes a single mum (working with UC top up).
She didn’t believe we could have ‘money worries’. I confessed to the IVA and bless her it turned out she had one too but was too embarrassed to say.
It took our friendship to another level and despite the stresses we were having with reviews etc, I helped her along the way work out her budget at review time (she didn’t think it through when applying as the company put her under pressure, she was scared so agreed to unrealistic figures), anyway, helped her to understand the T&C’s etc etc. She was transferred to CF couple of years ago.
She was so pleased for us when we got our CC. Hers wouldnt be far behind...
Well jump forward to Feb 2020. She made her final payment on 28th Feb (SO was timed to coincide with her payday) and shes in rented accomodation so no equity malarky to deal with....well CF have been fab! Texted her on the following Monday to say payments all up to date and she could cancel her SO, she received her CC yesterday!!! Great work by CF.
They have their faults but when it comes to closure they do seem to get it done swiftly!
Nice to hear. Please pass on our congratulations to your friend.
CF do handle completions well and, if they could get other issues straight, they could be a force to be reckoned with, but they do insist on cutting corners (sometimes leading to strife for all concerned) --- which could be why the completions happen quickly, ironically.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014
Great news and nice to read a positive post about CF. Well done to your friend as well.
Sharing from experiences of dealing with debt
The greatness of a man is not in how much wealth he acquires, but in his integrity and his ability to affect those around him positively.
