We have entered our 4th year with an IVA (march 2018) and were advised that our payments have increased (as they have each yr so far) and when the direct debit went out it was for the payment for “last” yr, the new payment amount was not amended on their part and so I now owe the difference between the payments, the company have since changed hands and set up a new direct debit and I cancelled the new dd & the old dd too I case they took both payments out. I am struggling to pay the original payment let alone the new payment and now owe the whole of last months payment too! Please help me I’m totally deflated with this whole experience and worried sick that the bailiffs will end up knocking at the door!!!!
Bailiffs won't be knocking but you need to speak to your company asap and get this sorted. Which company are you with now?

You need to speak with your new company and explain the confusion over the change of company. They need not have set up a new DD as client accounts get transferred, along with the IVAs, to the new firm. Hopefully they can either add arrears to ongoing payments, a little each month. Or they can add the missed payments on at the end of the IVA.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
