After finishing my iva in june I thought it was all plain sailing from now on, how wrong I was, updating the credit agencies was a nightmare,I thought it was all sorted until monday northern rock still have not updated experian but they have updated Equifax and call credit, I have made numerous calls to them this week and have emailed my completition cert yet again as well as my credit report, to make it worse the default date is 2 years out. NR are an absolute joke and not very helpful staff at all, How do I register a complaint?

Hi
You need to try and get the default moved to a date before your IVA started or removed completely
You can complain to the Information Commissioner http://www.ico.gov.uk/

thanks I will, for anyone recently satisfied there iva I would strongly advise to check all three credit reference agencies, each one seem to have different information for some reason.

Hi Helen

Yer its a right pain, if I were you I'd check all 3 as each 1 seem to have different information gathered, its free for 30 days which gives ample time ( normally ) to have it corrected and to see whats registered, Equifax are the quickest and more reliable for me anyway, its a real eye opener and not very pleasent but needs must I suppose. Let me know how you get on. Phil x

If they don't respond you will need to report them to the information commissioner who has the power to force them to comply.

well heres a suprise northern rock just rang me, they claim not to have recd the completition cert even though they satisfied equifax and not experian ALSO she said they are not prepared to change the settlement date as they use the date when the IVA was completed??? told her this is utter rubbish, in the meantime Experian have emailed me 2day explaining they are getting in touch with nr but ive had enough should I go straight to the ico now or wait for experian??

A very well done to Experian and Equifax nr have now satisfied the defalult and ammended the date, all my defaults are now showing as satisfied with the correct dates. Anyone else out there having the same prob as me let the credit agencies chase up the creditors on your behalf, they seem to have some power to have it corrected.
