Probably right there kaza! Not heard of these before, but surprise, surprise, they're from Dorset!

I hope it's hit the shredder!

Mine hit the shredder these days, but I know David Mond of Cleardebt campaigns to get these companies stopped, so any new ones he would be interested in.

Send the letters to him or Mike Morgan (Size5)care of Cleardebt.

Dorset is brilliant!

Trouble is, most of these firms come from Dorset, usually Bournemouth or Poole.[:)]

I can imagine, and its shocking to hear that companies do this. Does this mean that when you are on the insolvency register companies access your information and cold call you? Is this allowed? It would be hard not to be tempted in your darkest hours. I'm about to return my signed proposal to DFD - a nerve racking time but oddly enough I'm already beginning to feel like a new person!

Anyone can access your information, the register is in the public domain unfortunately.

They shouldn't cold call, but some do - especially the ones with overseas call centres.

It is normally the letters you get though.

It is frankly outrageous that this sort of personal data is available on such a public forum - allowing people who are perfectly happy with the decisions they have made to be bombarded with patronising correspondence. I cannot think of any other instance, where this would happen and the new government are to be encouraged to remove it.

Perhaps we should start another petition?

I'd sign it Jan and you never know if we were persistant enough, someone may just take a look at it and we've had a change of government?

Andy did the last one - perhaps he could start another one? I think most of us would sign it.

It needs more than that. It needs old fashioned lobbying at the highest level. I am working on it!
