Thank you animaleyes. We would never steer anyone towards an IVA, you should always explore all options.

Hi
I whole heartedly agree with Scaredykat. I am more than happy with the general advice given on the forum, however I suspect for most posters its the moral support that is given out of the kindness of peoples hearts that is priceless
The forum will give you massive support and general advice. The experts will give more specific advice.
Always speak to your IP first if there are any problems.
We will never advocate contacting one of these companies that trawl the Insolvency Register.

anne 202,
I am really pleased you are happy with your BR outcome but a lot of these company's just tend to want a hefty fee for doing what everyone is capable of doing themselves.
I have never found the advice given here to be pushing anyone in any direction, in fact everyone makes a huge effort to ensure that people look at all options and to contact more than 1 professional company, if the IVA was wrong the company's would be telling them that, more IVA's are probably mentioned here and talked about as it is the forum of www.iva.co.uk the name is a sort of give-away. If life is what you make it, I must have been in a strange mood when I made mine
I second that scaredykat! When you are in this situation, speaking to others who are or have experienced it is a real lifeline. I think we are all sensible enough to make our own minds up, and seek proffesional advice when needed. I don't know where I would be if I hadn't found this site!
Just to put my two pence worth in, I was told that probably my best option would be BR (from a reputable firm who is represented on this grand site) but I opted for IVA as I did not want to go down the BR route if at all possible which they fully understood. Each to their own I guess, but at least 99.9% of posters on here are just giving their personal honest opinion out of the kindness of heart because they are or have been there, I wish I had found this site when struggling over a year ago to give me some peace of mind and let me know I was not alone in the situation I found myself in.
Another note being I agree totally with Kallis and Skippy, I did not realise that my name would be on the Insolvency register but can accept that as a fact of being classed as such, however it should not be open to all and sundry to view and should be classed as an invasion of privacy in my personal opinion (we keep getting told that often enough in the news), we shall see if anything changes on this score.
