Hi
I have been at risk of redundancy for 6 weeks now and was looking for a new job which I found. The consultation period of my company kept delaying so once I secured new work I handed my notice in. They then gave me voluntary redundancy. I am 8 payments from completing my IVA so it sucks that I would be paying the redundancy into the IVA but I totally get that is what has to happen....My question is, I have 7 days accrued holiday unable to take due to covid, and 5 days which I bought extra that they are paying me back. This all comes in my final pay. Will I get to keep the holiday pay? considering it is not my fault that I could not take the holidays it seems unfair that I should miss out as I have worked all year.
Thanks in advance

Your IP might treat the holiday pay element as bonus or overtime and you should, then, get to keep at least half of it. You can but ask ... if you are lucky they might be sympathetic.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
