I cancelled my iva in 2008 due to a change of circumstance. I had no further correspondence with my advisor. I am now selling my property and there is a restriction on the registry. As I have been dealing with the debts myself can I request this be removed? Many thanks

Speak to your IP and ask them to remove the restriction.

Land Registry will need the person who lodged the restriction to submit and RX4 to get it removed.
If they are not traceable there is another method, but LR will still need to lodge a request with the original IP and await a response, or non-response, which will take time ... getting in touch with the IP to lodge the forms will be much faster.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

Many thanks I have contacted the firm so hopefully it will be no problem, could he still demand any money for creditors that may be outstanding I’m not sure if I have cleared them all but they contact me direct as he has had no communication with me for 11years. Many thanks
