Hi
I defaulted on my IVA and it’s been 10 years since I started the process and 8-9 since defaulting. Can I still request that this be removed from my credit check/file.
Kind regards
Jim

if the accounts were formally placed in default by the individual creditors involved they will drop off your files 6 years from the date of default. If they were not formally defaulted they will stay on record for as long as the creditors report the account to the credit reference agencies.

If it is the actual IVA on the credit files, it should have gone if the failure was formally reported to the insolvency service. Have you checked the Insolvency REgister to see if the IVA was actually closed down ?
