I need to renew my car insurance in the next 48 hours and I am a year into my IVA. I can't afford to pay it in one go, who is the best company to go to so I can get monthly payments.
I take it you can't pay monthly with your existing insurer?

It is often best to stick with companies during the IVA, rather than shop around, unless they have hiked the premium unreasonably. When looking for quotes the comparison sites do tent to put a lot of weight on the fact that you are in an IVA, whereas approaching the companies directly often overcomes this.
I was with Direct Line throughout my IVA, paying monthly, with no issues --- but I was with them before the IVA as well.

I don't know of any that would definitely offer you insurance monthly but make sure you don't make too many applications as it will show up on your credit record.

They will show up as quotation searches, so should not be an issue. And, let's face it, with an IVA the credit record is toilet paper anyway !!
