Hi all. Just wondering if anyone has experience of credit fix UK? I have just entered into IVA last month and I get zero response to emails and when I ring up customer service are lovely but I feel like I would get a different answer depending on who I spoke to.
My IVA was based entirely on PAYE earnings although I have also been registered as self employed for years. I have been contacting them to tell them of extra income from a new self employed job and that I will need to make extra payments and also to check that making HMRC payments from my bank account would not be an issue. I have been told by customer service that paying HMRC should not be an issue (although I am not convinced) and want to make sure that everything I am doing with reporting self employed earnings is above board. This has been going on for almost 3 weeks and no concrete response. I suffer from anxiety, I am 5 months pregnant and my mental health is really suffering with lack of confirmation. Any ideas?
Credit Fix are notorious for their lack of communication and for their variable responses to the same question ! You need to ride them constantly to get anywhere.
When I was in an IVA I had a similar set up to you --- a PAYE job, on which the IVA was based and a self employed 'side line'. I agreed with my IP at the start to split self employment income three ways (my extra income clause was a straight 50/50 split, with no 10% disregard) : a third was retained for HMRC, a third for the IVA and a third for me. My regular payment went in by direct debit and the extra income by manual payment, so keeping them seperate and easier to track. This was dealt with on a monthly basis -- so no lump sums built up.
Get any agreement in writing.

Thanks Foggy. That makes sense, I guess I just need to keep calling them until I get it all sorted.
I keep on talking to customer service who have now emailed the supervisor team to get back to me.
I am not aware of one specific person that has been assigned to my IVA. Did you have someone specific that you could talk to or did you always have to deal with customer services?
The ultimate responsibility for your IVA lies with the named IP (Insolvency Practitioner) named in your paperwork, however day to day stuff is dealt with by call handlers. In many firms the call handlers are well trained and efficient, however, the same cannot be said in every case !!
When I was in my IVA (nearly a decade ago) it was almost unheard of not to be able to contact your IP directly. Now, it seems, the opposite is true !
