Had mine with Creditfix. Amazed how easy it was, didn't need to do a I&E form, just sent in my current mortgage statement. An estimation of the value of my house was done using an on line valuation site - estimation came back well under the current value so nothing more to pay. All sorted out ve...

Many thanks all for the messages. It wasn't easy, nor should it be but its a great feeling once completed. Felt a little deflated as I didn't get a "well done" from my IVA Company but the extra £1000 i have a month more than compensates.

Hello everyone, I have just been lucky enough to receive my completion certificate after a long slog through my IVA. Does anyone know what I have to do now to clear my credit file. Is my CC automatically sent to my creditors or do i have to do it. I believe some of my debits have been "sold on" to o...

Hi Sharron, my advice is to disclose all info to the Vetting Agency. They will probably send your husband an additional Financial disclosure form. You need to sit your husband down and explain to him what happened in the past. The vetting agency will be interested in any skeletons in the cupboard th...

I've previously used a company called Indigo Car Hire. I explained that I didn't have a credit card and they were happy to accept payment on a debit card. They do insist that you take out their insurance top up which wasn't too expensive. They do pre-charge for fuel, you pick up the car full and ret...

There are several charity organisations who may be able to help. Local churches can offer some financial assistance . Also look on line for recycle organisations in your area (freecycle, etc). Best of luck

is your annual review legally binding ie if it says you are £100 in arrears, can your IP then say it was a mistake and should have been £200, three years later

ok, I'm trying to get my head around this. If, for example, the joint debt on my IVA amount to 10% of my overall debt, and I paid in to my IVA £10,000, I would assume £1000 goes to the joint debt. If the same figures apply to my wife, in total £2000 goes to the joint debt. What happens if this £2000...

Good evening. Both my wife and I have entered separate IVAs as we were told that joint IVA's don't exist. However, the full amount of any joint debt appears in full as creditors on our reports. If the IVA's continue to run as they are at the moment, due to the percentage of joint debt, the creditor ...

Hi Norman, Which country are you visiting. I have some experience of hiring a car without a credit card. In Spain, some companies will allow you to book the car using a Visa Debit card and, provided you agree to pre-pay for fuel and take their additional insurance, they do not require any form of de...

Sorry forgot to ask, do IP's also consider the penalty amount that would need to be paid should I leave my current mortgage provider in order to release equity - not that anyone else would offer me a mortgage whilst in an IVA.
