IVAproviders definitely shouldn't be telling people they won't be able to remortgage...as long as it's in the proposal it's a real possibility however unlikely over the past couple of years. But if re-mortgaging makes an IVA unpalatable there are other options.

Foggy - you just reminded me I have a bottle of beer cooling in the fridge! Hi Ox - we haven't met before but you sound a lot like me. When I have a problem I become obsessed and can't stop myself going round in circles. Two things helped. I took Citaloptam for a short while and it stops the obsessi...

Hi Denise! I saw an IVA as a way of gaining control over my finances and my future...I just needed help from a professional to get that control! It is a crazy emotional rollercoaster, especially in the early days, but it will be worth it. x

Hi! I don't have experience of this but would be tempted to leave well alone as you said. It has been a year after all and they haven't done anything. Congrats on your first year x

I feel for you! Only one of the accounts Richardson Mail are investigating for me has been resolved nearly 18 months after they took up my case. I had thought it wouldn't affect my completion but with only a year to go I think they'll be delaying mine too! Fun y to read back from VN about the proces...

Hi Forum! I've missed you all!!!!! I had a busy few months burying myself in work and yoga trying not to leave myself time to think too much about my IVA. But I've had a crazy start to the year (I've nicknamed it 'Unlucky 13' already) and it has made me realise what a great support this forum is. I'...

Hi John. CCCS don't seem to be offering you any viable solution; just a DMP which is too expensive and they are refusing to discuss an IVA. I hope you speak to one or two more experts before making a decision. DMPs and IVAs both have their pros and cons so it comes down to what's best for your famil...

And for everyone that does a runner on their debts, the banking crisis gets a little worse and helps cause a stagnant economy and the interest rates for innocent people go up and mortgages get a little harder to come by. Still, I hope it all works out for you Hitch.

Perhaps GTs clients could request variations to exclude any prevent contributions Beyond VAT and PPI.

Although presumably if GT are quoting the book at clients they too will be sticking to their terms re admin period and no-one has anything to worry about?

The debt no longer exists in so far as no NEW money is required in payment. PPI is an asset which existed at the time of the IVA and if assets are captured within the terms of the IVA it is due in payment of those debts. My IVA proposal is explicit in that creditors should set off their own debt fir...

Only your own IP can give proper advice as we have very few details but it may be possible to split the IVAs and carry on individually. If both or either of you cannot maintain an I A then that party will need to look at other options.

Doesn't sound great! Speak to your IP and if all else fails, just stop paying the mortgages - you don't want the properties anyway so it's of no consequence to you if they repossess. Although it will impact on your ability to obtain future mortgages. The IVA should be able to proceed with anticipate...
