They said it's barclay card who have requested it the company never asked for bank statements from either of us So if we postpone it what do we do in the mean time regarding the creditiors ? It was a joint IVA with my husband :( Depending on the full set of circumstances you could go into a DMP for...

As you have the completion certificate you are free to sell. Do check with your former IP that the RX1 restriction has been lifted first. If you are hoping to get a mortgage on a new property, it would be best to wait until your credit files are clear (after the 6th anniversary) and then seek the as...

You need to have a chat with your IP as he will be the one who will be explaining things to creditors. It might be that you will need to postpone the IVA for a few months until you can show that you are clear of gambling ... National Lottery IS gambling and £700 flushed away shows that there is stil...

Hi Binhad. I am sorry you feel an IVA wasn't the right choice for you. For every complaint we get on here, there are hundreds of happy souls in their IVA's. By the very nature of forums such as these we tend to only hear the bad side, but there are good stories with happy endings by the truckload.

You do have to try ---it is highly likely that you will be unable to be accepted. Refusal to try can be regarded as a breach.past a few IP's have been aware of the futility of trying and accepted the extesion as inevitable, thus allowing only lipsrvice eaid to the atempt to remortgage. However, the ...

I do not know exactly what clauses you have in your agreement, but my understanding is that the remortgage payment must not exceed 50% of your current mortgage payment ( if a remortgage was, indeed, possible). A remortgage happens, if at all, in the final few months of an IVA, so your suppositions r...

They should be included for £1 if the debt is covered by the value of the car - or more if there is a shortfall/negative equity that can be calculated. Only as a potential debt if the loan is called in and there is a shortfall, surely. If this is secured on the vehicle it cannot be included as it is.

1, should I be concerned as no payment sent to creditor since Mar?(1 of 5 creditors, but two accounts with them) No -- creditor statements are not reliable as creditors account for IVA receipts outside of the normal account, which will have been frozen. 2, is 6 months a reasonable timescale 6 months...

This is becoming the norm for CF -- they appear to be the only firm at the moment having these troubles as a matter of routine. I suspect there is something in their procedures creditors don't like, or is simply not working. They do, often, seem to swing results after a bit of work and delay though.

You can service an IVA from abroad -- remember to take account of currency fluctuations. Australia is very picky with visa's so I have no idea whether an IVA would be a hurdle -- best to ask their immigration people directly.

I am sorry, but I have to disagree with the advice given to you thus far. A 6 month admin period is built in to your agreement. Now, some firms take a few weeks, others exceed the 6 months. The average being 2 to 3 months. Until all claims are finalised the IP will be unable to make up final account...

Explain the situation to your IP -- hopefully they will agree a payment break (which will be added back on at the end of your IVA) in order for you to use these payments towards clearing the fine.
