Hi, On my credit report should my accounts show as defaulted on every month during an IVA? Just I thought if it took 6 years for defaults to fall off your credit report then surely it can't show as default all the way through the IVA. Thanks for any info. The account will be defaulted once and the ...

How after my IVA is approved will may first payment go out (I am using Vanguard Insovency) Some firms like to have the first payment in hand so that, if the proposal is accepted, payments can start right away. Most firms will just want the first payment within 28 days of the meeting, allowing you t...

During an IVA you always owe the full original debt, plus fees and possible statutory interest. The fees come out first!

How much was your full original debt ?

How much equity do you think you have ?

Although you have paid the original debt in your eyes, the fees come out first. so some of the debt, as well as possible stautory interest is still outstanding.

I would add that I consider extending the IVA for equity release reasons at the start and then to also rely on a further extension in lieu of equity release to be questionable practice.

If the IVA were to go to term and the 12 month extension was appiled ( which it looks like it would ) the creditors stand to get around £6k more fom you. Considering that you would be knocking almost three years off the term you wold be saving them a lump in admin costs. I would think that £4.5 k wo...

If you sell the house they will take an amount to cover the full original debt, plus fees and statutory interest (around £27.5k) less the £6k already paid, so around £21.5 k. This is pretty much standard practice. There is, however, a possible work around. If you do not NEED to sell the house, you ...

Your original debt would have been calculated at the time of the IVA proposal, the £19k would have been set as the maximum amount to be paid back given the figure of disposable income. @ £180 a month that is only £10,800 over 60 months, you need to be aware that you will still owe the full amount o...

They will take enough to cover the full original debt plus fees and possible statutory interest, less receipts so far.
