Even with the IVA off of your credit records some lenders will ask if you have ever been in an IVA, or have you been ...

I just assumed what I had was a standard agreement as - to me - it makes complete sense if you couldn’t raise any equity in the fifth year that they would extend it to six  They only extend if there was equity there to raise (over £5k) and you were unable to raise it. Out of curiosity -- does your equity release clause have a £5k de minimis ?

Yep it does.

Are you happy that there is more than £5k equity ? If there is less then the extra 12 months wouldn't apply (assuming you have the standard clauses).

It is not up to you to prove you don't owe the money -- it is up to them to prove that you do! Tell your IP that you do not owe these companies and what evidence, if any, can they produce.

Everyone who petitions for BR has to go through these hoops and under the microscope. I think she probably meant you might have to cease trading if you operate on credit accounts from suppliers --- everything will have to be cash transactions and some suppliers might close accounts. If you can get a...

During an IVA you owe the full original debt, plus fees and possiblre statutory interest .... most people never get the benefit of massive promotions and so usually pay far less than the original debt --- don't forget that you are also being forgiven contractual interest, often at a rate far higher ...
