Great news Nikl :-) I took the liberty of changing the "not" to "now" !

I found being debt free kind of strange for a while when I completed --- and, 5 years on, I remain debt free and it still feels odd --- a good odd, but still odd :-)

Thank you for your kind words.

Im on annual leave now, so they'll have to wait before I contact them. Although, they usually send an email followup with all their messages, which I haven't had, but they're usually for things like you're in arrears and you're not because of the letter time delays. So, is that the case, if a PPI i...

Hi all I phoned CF just now asking about my F&F meeting on Friday and an outcome. I was told that one creditor has refused the offer and apparently the senior on the case has 7 days to try and over turn the decision and they will get back to me after the 28th September! Is this how it works? I ...

Do you have to give permission for an IVA company to investigate your PPI mis-selling I finished my IVA 2 years ago but the IVA company are refusing to let go. And they have gone behind my back going to companies requesting PPI and I have not given them permission, but they are giving the impressio...

If the loan is secured on the vehicle it cannot be rolled into your IVA and the repayments for the loan will form part of your allowable expenses (at the discretion of your IP and creditors). When repayments on the car finish they will be added to your IVA payments. The vehicle will be considered an...

You have agreed to allow your IP to perform his duties in respect of your IVA --- one of those duties is seeking and claiming PPI/. He can do this even after the IVA has been completed, as recently agreed and confirmed by the courts. Your IP can only retain fees as already agreed with your creditors...

No, you cannot remove a creditor and have to let them vote. Do they hold enough voting power to force through this amendment --- they need at least 25% by debt amount, of those voting to swing it. The IP could try to get others to vote it down or you could just refuse and the IVA will not get off th...

There is a report error button on the register which you can use to initiate contact with the Insolvency Service. They will respond by email asking you to send a copy of the completion certificate, if they can't find it doen the back of a filing cabinet.

For most firms an hour and a half would be plenty ... but a couple , these days, and one in particular, seem to be having problems with meetings and sometimes take days to get their act together.

Remortgaging, though not impossible, is highly unlikely. If you could remortgage you would be expected to pay off as much of the full original debt, plus fees and possible statutory interest as possibe. However the release clause has it's own glass ceilings (assuming you have the usual clauses): The...

I doubt that £1000 would be accepted against a debt of £21,000. However, the gift could be used to get the debt below £20,000 for a DRO -- assuming you meet all the other criteria. If not it could be used to fund BR (£750), again, assuming you would be happy with BR. Do you rent, or are you a home o...
